Museum installation for MagPie at Portlantis (Maasvlakte)

For the MagPie exhibition at Portlantis (Maasvlakte), we delivered a striking and durable museum installation using our Topclamp solutions. In collaboration with design agency Bindfilm and installation specialist Ronald Boertje, the Topclamp Origina l system (38.4 mm) was selected as the structural basis for this project.

The installation was finished in a refined RAL 6019 fine texture powder coating, giving the structure a modern and fresh appearance that perfectly complements the exhibition design and its surroundings.

Thanks to the strength and flexibility of the Topclamp system, the concept by Bindfilm was efficiently translated into a robust and aesthetically strong museum installation structure.

From Concept to Technical Design

Every museum installation starts with close collaboration with the client. Often, projects begin with a sketch, idea, or fully developed design provided by the customer. In this case, the design was supplied by Bindfilm.

From this starting point, we develop detailed technical drawings, defining all required components and connections. This ensures that every museum installation is structurally sound, safe, and efficient to assemble.

High-Quality Finishing with Powder Coating

Once the technical design is finalized, all aluminum frame components are carefully prepared and finished. For this project, a RAL 6019 fine texture powder coating was applied.

This finish not only provides long-lasting protection but also enhances the visual quality of the structure, ensuring the museum installation meets both functional and aesthetic requirements.

Delivery, Installation & Support

After production, all materials are carefully packed and delivered to the client, including detailed technical drawings. These ensure that the museum installation can be assembled efficiently on site.

When required, we can provide on-site support within the Netherlands with an experienced technician. For international projects, we supply comprehensive assembly instructions, making it easy to install the structure independently.
